A multicultural, family-friendly university town south-east of the city. Clayton is centered on the prestigious Monash University and has many schools, all of which make it a good breadwinner local. The suburb has good rail and bus services. There is a neat shopping belt on Clayton Road, with authentic restaurants reflecting the diversity of the area, and the Clayton Street Festival is held every year to celebrate.
